About National Grid

National Grid is a British utility company and one of the world’s largest distributors of electricity and gas. It operates across the UK, transmitting energy to businesses and institutions, as well as direct to customers in the US, connecting millions of people to the system. The holding company was established in 1990 as a successor of the Central Electricity Generating Board (CEGB) with headquarters in London.
